Fiji Airways, the national airline of Fiji, appointed Heston MRO for Line Maintenance support in Cairns, Australia as the new destination of the airline’s growing international network.
The scope of services includes Transit and Daily checks for Fiji Airways fleet of B737-MAX8s and B737-800s, as well as the unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and AOG services.
Heston MRO is the largest independent MRO organisation in Australia, servicing more than 40% of all international flights coming in and out of the Australian airports. Operational by mid April, Cairns will be yet another, newly established base in the wide network of Heston MRO line stations across major Australian airports.
Long standing partnership between Heston MRO and Fiji Airways started more than 7 years ago from modest routes of a single-station and limited scope of services. Since then, it has gradually developed into the Australia-wide exclusive support for all Fiji Airways flights in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, and now Cairns airports.
Heston MRO adheres to the highest safety and quality standards and holds Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF) approvals for servicing Fiji registered A350, A330, B737MAX/NG aircraft with different engine types.
