StandardAero has welcomed Paul McElhinney as its new chief executive officer. McElhinney brings more than three decades of aerospace and industrial leadership experience to the role, including senior positions leading GE Aviation Services and GE Power Services. He also has served on the StandardAero board of directors since 2019.
In a statement on social media the company said, “We also want to thank Russell Ford for his remarkable 13-year tenure as chairman and CEO. Under Russ’ leadership, we have grown our global footprint, capabilities and customer partnerships – and successfully completed our IPO in 2024 — making us one of the world’s leading independent aerospace engine aftermarket providers. Russ shaped who StandardAero is today, and we’re grateful he will remain closely involved as executive chairman of the board through year-end and will continue serving on the Board thereafter.”
