HAECO and Rolls-Royce Launch Trent 1000 Modular Replacement Service

HAECO launched a specialized modular replacement service for Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines at its London Heathrow facility. The company says this strategic initiative, developed in collaboration with Rolls-Royce, is a key component of its “front porch of the overhaul shop” strategy, delivering flexible, rapid-response maintenance solutions directly at the point of operation.

HAECO Global Engine Support, a dedicated engine services operating company under HAECO Group, is now one of four locations worldwide authorized to perform major modular replacements for the Trent 1000, specifically the Module 32 (intermediate pressure compressor) and Module 41 (high pressure compressor). The replacement utilizes the efficient horizontal strip method, a process that significantly reduces turnaround times, extends engine time on wing, and helps optimize global MRO capacity for Rolls-Royce customers.

“Introducing this capability at our London site represents a major milestone in our partnership with Rolls-Royce and our commitment to supporting the Trent 1000 fleet availability,” said George Edmunds, group director of components and engine services at HAECO. “We are delivering a certified, efficient, and safety-first solution that enables airlines to restore fleet health faster and return aircraft to service with confidence.”

Rachel Walker, senior vice president, Trent 1000, Rolls-Royce, said: “While we’re busy selling engines and making new ones, our priority is getting our re-engineered components to our existing customers as quickly as possible. Our work with HAECO is helping reduce MRO choke points and we’re grateful for the strength of our long-term partnership, and the inherent capability in its people, to make this happen.”
