The five-year agreement will see LS Technics provide comprehensive base maintenance services for the Wizz Air fleet across six parallel maintenance lines in Katowice and Gdańsk. It is the largest contract in the Polish MRO company’s history.
The agreement builds on more than a decade of cooperation between LS Technics and Wizz Air, covering line maintenance, logistics and technical support. Base maintenance services were added to the partnership in 2018.
The signing of this contract is a milestone for LS Technics and a testament to the trust we have built with Wizz Air. It reflects the quality, professionalism and commitment of our teams across maintenance, engineering, planning, logistics and operational support. This is a major achievement for our entire organisation and a responsibility we are proud to take on – said Marcin Świegocki, Managing Director responsible for strategy and development at LS Technics.
Reliable, high-quality maintenance is fundamental to the safe and efficient operation of our growing fleet. This long-term agreement gives us additional maintenance capacity in key locations and builds on our successful partnership with LS Technics. We look forward to continuing our cooperation as Wizz Air grows its network and operations – said Diarmuid O Conghaile, Chief Operations officer of Wizz Air.
Six maintenance lines in the first year
The contract took effect in July 2026, with the first checks carried out in Hangar H3 at Katowice Airport. An additional line also began operating in Gdańsk that month.
In September 2026, LS Technics inaugurated operations at the new H4 hangar in Katowice with a base maintenance check on a Wizz Air Airbus A321. LS Technics will operate six parallel maintenance lines across Katowice and Gdańsk during the first year of the agreement.
Comprehensive fleet support
Under the contract, LS Technics will perform light and structural base checks, End-of-Lease checks and additional maintenance work for the Wizz Air fleet.
Services will include landing gear and thrust reverser replacements, engine and auxiliary power unit work, borescope inspections, non-destructive testing, aircraft washing and weighing, as well as other tasks arising from the fleet’s technical requirements.
Investment in infrastructure and expertise
The agreement will support further investment by LS Technics in infrastructure, equipment, systems and employee expertise. The company will expand its teams and acquire specialised tools to accommodate the increased workload.
The largest contract in our history provides further momentum for the development of our infrastructure. We plan to renovate our existing hangar in Gdańsk scheduled to become operational in 2029 and we are recognizing further investment opportunities in Katowice. These investments will support the continued growth of our partnership with Wizz Air while preserving our ability to serve other customers- said Tadeusz Stachera, CEO of LS Technics.
The contract marks a new phase in the long-standing relationship between the two companies and strengthens LS Technics’ position as a key technical partner for European airlines.
