AS Aerospace Adopts Tracware’s Web & Mobile Technology to Support Live Engineering Activity

AS Aerospace Ltd, a UK-based CAMO and Part 145 facility that supports a range of helicopter operators, has begun implementation of Tracware’s new web and mobile solution, Aerotrac Web Interface (AWI) & Aerotrac Mobile (ATM-E). The implementation follows a successful pilot of the technology and is expected to go live in November, supporting AS Aerospace as it brings mobile engineering capability into the Part 145 environment.

ATM-E, the mobile extension of Aerotrac has been developed to extend Aerotrac’s functionality beyond the desktop and provide engineers with the flexibility to manage engineering activity with greater control at the point of maintenance.

Designed to run on a tablet, ATM-E will allow engineers to review and book time to tasks, callup parts and tooling, add Unscheduled tasks/Defects and complete tasks and record inspections which can be reviewed by the Part 145 administration in real-time via AWI.

The pilot involved rigorous use of both AWI and ATM-E within AS Aerospace’s Part 145 environment and feedback from the AS Aerospace team will support the final stages of implementation ahead of the planned November go-live.

Adrian Oaten, Managing Director at AS Aerospace, says:

“The pilot gave our team a useful opportunity to see how Tracware’s web and mobile technology can support activity across our Part 145 environment and increase efficiency, and the team here are looking forward to moving ahead with a full roll-out of the technology in November.”

James Maley, Managing Director at Tracware, comments:

“We are delighted to support AS Aerospace as they move forward with Tracware’s web and mobile technology and their feedback during the pilot has been extremely valuable as we continue the development activities of our web and mobile solutions.”
